About the role

Ecommerce Smart is looking for an experienced Email & CRM Consultant to help us deliver high-impact retention strategies for our ecommerce clients.

If you know your way around lifecycle flows, can write or brief emails that actually convert, and understand the power of segmentation, automation and LTV – we want to hear from you.

We work across platforms like Klaviyo, dotdigital, Mailchimp, and HubSpot. If you’ve mastered one (or more) and love helping ecommerce brands build smarter, more profitable customer journeys – you’re our kind of person.

What You’ll Do

  • Audit existing email setups, flows, and CRM journeys

  • Build or optimise automations: welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, winback, etc.

  • Plan and support email campaigns – from promo calendars to product launches

  • Segment audiences for better targeting and improved performance

  • Review and improve deliverability, list hygiene, and customer data structures

  • Report on performance: open rates, click rates, conversions, revenue attribution

  • Collaborate with our wider team (and sometimes clients) on strategy and creative


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in email marketing or CRM, with ecommerce focus

  • Strong experience in at least one of: Klaviyo, HubSpot, or dotdigital

  • A good grasp of email copy, user journeys, and performance metrics

  • Confidence in mapping and executing lifecycle strategies

  • Comfortable working remotely and communicating clearly with other specialists

  • Available for 5–15 hours/week, depending on project flow


Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento

  • Basic design or layout experience (or ability to brief designers well)

  • Experience using GA4, Looker Studio, or ESP-specific analytics

  • Comfort with SMS and multi-channel CRM flows
